Skills: Administration, utilities, controller, triage, adm
An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client, in the utilities sector for 4 new members of staff to join a new department in the Portsmouth office....
Emergency workload is increasing, so we they need to triage the work to ensure we can immediately visit those jobs which meet immediate action criteria thus meeting our regulated standards of service (that gas escapes are visited 97% of the time within one / two hours). Jobs that are not classified as immediate action criteria will be interrogated to ascertain whether (following careful questioning with the customer or reporter) a visit is required, or whether it is safe to offer a future appointment. Where it is safe to do so, we will book a mutually agreed appointment.
As a Triage Desk Controller you will be responsible for monitoring systems used to receive gas emergency work orders. You will be responsible for interrogating work orders to ascertain the validity of the information. You will contact the customers to check the information and to assess any risk before issuing the jobs to an appropriate resource, or scheduling a future appointment with the agreement of the customer and appropriate depot in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally you will undertake data analysis to look for trends and patterns and report findings in a clear, straight forward manner to the appropriate person.
You will be computer literate, with good organisational skills and the ability to think logically and use initiative when required. You will also have excellent communication skills for dealing with internal and external customers, and will be able to work well within a team environment. You will have a flexible can do approach and be willing to carry out additional tasks when required
